Cardiovascular diseases have become one of the major sources of morbidity in the world, therefore early detection of the people at risk would allow medical professionals more time to act. One of the approaches to the problem through ML is the use of the information that...
Cyber attacks are increasing with many being very targeted and difficult to detect using signature based approaches. Signature based approaches are useful for detecting known threats but have weaknesses when trying to detect unknown threats like zero day attacks, mutate...
Agriculture is the mainstay of the Indian economy, However, water insecurity, climate variability and degradation of soils are the challenges faced by farmers. Increasing energy prices and crop diseases. Existing studies show that Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Inter...
Modern Shopping Malls consist of many Payment Terminals, CCTV Cameras, IoT Devices, Cloud Services and Public Wi-Fi. While this provides convenience for the user it introduces many potential entry points making traditional security methods inefficient. By applying real...
Detecting disease symptoms in the field before they reach advanced stages gives farmers more options in how they respond. Classification of leaf images by deep learning models has already been shown to be possible. However, leaf images alone are not enough, because a le...
The information age is dominated by massive data collection. Data on what customers buy, use and write are some examples. Manually processing and analyzing this volume of data is infeasible. Therefore, Data Science techniques are utilized to extract the value and patter...
Public Wi-Fi hotspots, although convenient, compromise the privacy and security of the users since attackers can launch Evil Twin attacks by deploying rogue access points that mimic the legitimate ones and lure devices to connect to them. Checking a single parameter suc...
QR codes offer convenience by turning activities such as payments, sign-ins, ticket entries and menu browsing into one-step actions, however, their final destination may never reveal unless one scans them. It is quishing here that takes place by means of redirecting wit...
Most mobile and remote field robots, as well as sensor nodes, continue to operate on conventional batteries. Batteries offer flexibility, but they must eventually be replaced, which creates an e-waste problem. One approach discussed in my seminar readings is to remove b...
There is an increased risk of hypoglycemia with insulin stacking, which involves taking a new insulin dose while the previous dose is still working. The works reviewed focus on dose titration or automated delivery of medication, or conversational counseling in recent st...
Valuation of real estate can be difficult as the values can veer greatly between regions with many variables to consider. What this article introduces is the summary of several studies that have been done between 2016 and 2026 where Machine Learning (ML) strategies have...
Student stress and burnout are major educational problems for college students, who often work under heavy demands such as examinations, large workloads, and tight deadlines. As a result, students’ well-being is seriously threatened. Usually, the problem is spotted only...
